About Montville
The town of Montville is located in the southern part of Connecticut, in New London County. The terrain was primarily rocky and forested therefore it wasn’t suitable for farming. The local industry greatly expanded thanks to the waterways, the Oxoboxo river banks were home to a huge number of local factories and mills.
Modern Montville contains the villages of Chesterfield, Mohegan, Oakdale, and Uncasville. The most famous site of the town is the Mohegan Sun casino resort that attracts lots of tourists every year.
