About Scotland
The town of Scotland is located in the southwestern portion of Windham County. Today, it's the least populated town in the County with agriculture as the main industry. Isaac Magoon, the first landowner, named the place Scotland to commemorate the land of his ancestors. Scotland is famous for being the birthplace of Samuel Huntington, a Founding Father of the United States. Today, it's a small rural community with well-known and loved New England charm.
