About Sacaton
Sacaton is a community in Pinal County, Arizona, United States, with a population of 3,254 as of the 2020 census. Sacaton is also the capital of the Gila River Indian community. The area is located west of the location of Butterfield's Sacaton Overland Post Office, which was placed there from 1858 to 1861. The station got its name in honor of the neighboring village of Maricopa Sacaton.
