About Valley View
Founded by the Lee family in 1870, Valley View took shape in 1872 when L.W. Lee laid out a town on his land. The name "Valley View" was chosen, likely inspired by the picturesque sight of Spring Creek Valley. The community saw its beginnings with the arrival of eighteen families, and a post office was established in the same year.
The year 1903 marked a period of significant growth for the town. It witnessed the completion of a two-story brick schoolhouse, the construction of six brick business buildings, the introduction of telephone service, and the establishment of a bank.
Now, Valley View is a charming, fast-growing city with approximately 737 residents, according to the 2020 census. The city is proud of its well-improved infrastructure, an educational sector, and an entertainment sphere.
