The city of Sherman has an interesting history in that, among other things, it was named after General Sidney Sherman, a hero of the Texan Revolution, and in 1861, it was home to the first flour mill of the region. It was also a major flashpoint between Unionist and Republican sentiment in the Revolutionary War. It also, lamentably, was the location of one of the most infamous ‘race riots’ in Southern history, namely the so-called ‘Sherman Riot’ of May 9, 1930, wherein rioting caused martial law to be declared for ten days and the Texas National Guard was even deployed on the streets. Thankfully, things have settled since, and Sherman now enjoys being one of the most peaceful and prosperous cities in North Texas.
But even with peace and prosperity, nonetheless securing your home, business, or a vehicle is still a priority in life, so when you experience frustrating problems with your keys and/or locks, there’s no need to read the ‘riot act’ to anyone to get those problems sorted.
