About Round Lake Beach, IL
Round Lake Beach is a village in the suburbs of Chicago. Most of the village's residents live in private houses, so the atmosphere of a quiet suburb reigns.
Residential construction in the town began after Chicago magazine publisher Curtis Howe Springer offered a house in the village as a prize in a contest. Also, during the Depression, developers offered houses in the village at low prices. Thus, the city's population grew. Nowadays, about 27,412 people live here.
