About Wallingford
The town of Wallingford was created by the Connecticut General Assembly in 1667. It got its name after Wallingford in England. During the first decade, the community and local industry grew rapidly. In 19878 the town survived the Wallingford Tornado that caused serious damage and deaths. However, after a few years, the town members managed to restore their hometown. And nowadays it is home to a wide range of companies and manufacturers that specialize in hi-tech metal manufacturing, medical sphere, health care, etc. Also, the town has been ranked as one of the best places to live and one of the safest places in Connecticut.
