About Norwich
Norwich is also known as The Rose of New England was in 1659 by the Saybrook Colony’s settlers. It was incorporated in 1784 and became one of the first cities in the state. Norwich is located in the southeastern part of Connecticut on the Thames River. Starting as an agricultural community, in the 19th century, the city manufactured textile and armaments.
Modern Norwich is a small city with its traditional New England charm, architecture, and landscapes.
