About New London
New London is a seaport on Long Island Sound, one of the main northwestern ports of the USA and one of the biggest ports of New England. Being incorporated in 1794, it was one of the first settlements in the state. During its early history, the city was an important trading hub of the east shore. Nowadays New London is famous for its rich maritime history, magnificent architecture, beaches, two of the best casinos in the country, the Coast Guard Academy, Fort Trumbull, etc.
