About East Lyme
The town of East Lyme is located in the southeastern part of Connecticut, in New London County, and consists of the villages of Flanders and Niantic. From its establishment until the 1850s, the main part of the local members was involved in fishing, shipyards, and quarries. After the railroad was built, the town became a popular recreational destination. Beautiful shorelines and beaches attract lots of visitors each year, and the town remains one of the best places to live in the state for a long time.
