Spring Valley is a village located in Ramapo, Rockland County, New York, United States.
Its population is 33,066 people as of the 2020 census, and it covers a total area of 2.01 square miles.
The village is located approximately 30 miles north of New York City and is accessible by major highways and public transportation. Interestingly, there were no homes in Spring Valley before the opening of the railroad.
Prior to the land being officially designated as Spring Valley, it was known as Scotland, named in honor of the Scottish heritage of the settlers who made their homes there.
Today, Spring Valley offers a range of recreational activities, including several parks and a community center.
