Scarsdale is both a town and a village in Westchester County in New York. The town and village are coextensive. It was settled in 1701 by Caleb Heathcote. The town was incorporated in 1788 and the village in 1915. The total area of Scarsdale is 6.68 square miles and the population is about 18,200 people according to the 2020 census.
