About Cortland
Cortland is located in the northwestern part of the country and is a part of Cortland County. It combines two villages - Buchanan and Croton-on-Hudson. The town was settled in 1791. What is interesting is that it was made into a village in 1853 and as a city, it was incorporated only in 1900. If you love learning history, it’s a perfect place for you. You may visit the House Museum, which was built in 1890. Also, you may want to see the CNY Living History Center. It’s actually a complex of three museums combined in one. Come to the Lime Hollow Nature Center if you want to spend some time in the fresh air. To enjoy some fresh food.
