About Newington
The town of Newington is located in the central part of Connecticut. The town was a part of Wethersfield till 1871. In the early 19th century, after the Hartford and New Haven Turnpike was built, the local industry started to grow rapidly. A few decades later, the railroad building attracted more business. Modern Newington is primarily a residential community famous for Mill Pond Falls and the annual Waterfall Festival. Offering its residents and visitors a huge number of attractions, Newington is considered to be one of the best places to live in Connecticut.
