About Bloomfield
Bloomfield was settled in 1660 as a part of Windsor. It was incorporated as a town in May of 1835. In its early years, the town was known for its dairy manufacturing, the tobacco industry, and many other agricultural industries. Bloomfield is a suburb of Hartford located in the northern region of central Connecticut. The town is surrounded by Talcott Mountain and the Farmington River. Nowadays, Bloomfield attracts tourists with its own suburban architecture.
