About Vernon Hills, IL
Vernon Hills is a village in Lake County, Illinois. It is a suburban area north of Chicago. The area was settled in 1851 but incorporated as a village in 1956. The total area of Vernon Hills is 7.94 square miles and the population is about 26,800 people, according to the 2020 census. Until the 1950s, the community was fully agricultural. Then more and more houses were built, a golf course was opened and new shops appeared.
Today it has a huge park district where you can try out various activities. You may visit Cuneo Museum & Gardens. It is a beautiful mansion that has various interesting art pieces inside. If you happen to visit Vernon Hills in July, make sure to stop by Century Park for the Summer Celebration. There are many games and rides you can try and a lot of tasty food to enjoy.
