About Arlington Heights
Arlington Heights is a municipality located in Illinois. It is the 13th most populous municipality in the state, with 77,676 people, according to the 2020 census. The history of Arlington Heights began in the 1680s when the Miami Confederacy controlled the municipality's territory. Later, the Potawatomi possessed the area and controlled the territory from Green Bay to the Illinois River and from the Mississippi River to the Maumee River. At the beginning of the 20th century, about 1,400 inhabitants in Arlington Heights were slowly developing farms and greenhouses. Later, in the 1950s and 1960s, there was a population explosion, and the number of people increased to 64,884.
