About Aventura, FL
Aventura is a planned suburban city in northeastern Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States, located 15 miles north of Miami and part of the Miami Metropolitan Area. The city got its name from the Spanish word "adventure". According to the 2020 census, the population of the city was 40,242.
The town began to develop in the early 1970s and was first named Turbary. Aventura was also registered in 1997. The city is known for its luxury resort Turbary Isle and the Aventura Mall, which is the third-largest shopping center in the United States.
