South Houston, TX
South Houston is a city in Harris County, TX. It is also a part of the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Lands metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1907 and at first, it was named Dumont. In 1913 it was incorporated as South Houston. The total area of the city is 3.05 square miles and the population is about 16,100 people, according to the 2020 census.
In the 1950s, South Houston started growing and developing. Small industries, like oilfield production, wire production, concrete, etc., started developing here.
South Houston is known for its various museums. You may visit the Fire Museum, Air terminal museum, History of printing museum and many others. Also, there are many parks where you can have a nice walk or spend some time with your family.
