About Monroe
In 1656, the court of the Colony of Connecticut affirmed a large swathe of land that would later include the town of Monroe as belonging to the town of Stratford. In 1662, three selectmen from Stratford secured written deeds of transfer for this vast tract of real estate from the Golden Hill Paugussett indian tribe, subsequently purchasing the remainder of the land in 1671. Out of this burgeoning community, the town of Monroe grew and was subsequently formally incorporated in 1823, named in honor of James Monroe, the fifth President of the United States.
Monroe also happens to be the location for the “world-famous” Warren’s Occult Museum, which apparently includes a vast, extensive array of paraphernalia relating to the paranormal investigations of Ed and Lorraine Warren; who were something of the Mulder and Scully of New England, it would appear.
The famous tagline of The X-Files television show, featuring the aforementioned Mulder and Scully, was “The Truth is Out There”... but when it comes to finding a dependable, reliable, and trustworthy local residential, commercial, and automotive locksmith service near you, you won’t have to go searching for that truth if you use us here at SURE LOCK & KEY, we’re just a mere phone call away.
